TRI-03 – Power Reserve GMT COSC – Steel/Cream/Black
(£600.00 VAT incl.)
Unconventional. Dedicated. Unapologetic.
Engineered from 316L stainless steel in Switzerland, this case features brushed and polished surfaces and a PVD gunmetal finish. A screw-down crown ensures it has a water resistance of 15ATM.
With a cream dial finish complementing its classic looks, this watch will always make an impression.
Every detail matters. Engineered on both the top and underside, our double domed sapphire crystal offers absolute clarity of the dial from all angles. Its signature convex shape pays homage to the dress watches of the ‘40s and ‘50s – our modern take on retro design.
An exhibition caseback displays the precision engineering within. Because if you've got a Swiss-made automatic movement inside your watch, flaunt it.
Sleek and sophisticated hands add to the personality of this dress watch. Designed with retro influences, finished with modern execution.
A Swiss-made chronometer with dual-time and power reserve complications, this C115 has been rigorously tested by the Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC) – ranking in the top 6% of all Swiss-made watches for timekeeping precision.
This TRIBUS arrives with a COSC certificate and GMT corrector tool in its own luxury presentation box, piano finished with a push button for easy access. An accompanying warranty card allows you to register your watch and view your online instruction manual. We believe you don’t need to hack down half the Amazon for a physical manual when you can easily download one.
Make an impression with the TRI-03 Power Reserve GMT COSC. Combining a classic aesthetic with dual-time and power reserve functionality, whether you’re travelling for business or that city break, the TRI-03 will always be in its element.
Founded upon the modern-retro aesthetic of the TRIBUS collection, the TRI-03 is one-part classic styling, another part technical brilliance. Its dial is both dressy and functional: a power reserve subdial at 12 o’clock displays what remains of its Soprod C115 movement’s power reserve, while the GMT subdial below allows the tracking of a second timezone. Its GMT hand is operated independently through a mechanism integrated into the TRI-03’s case.
A watch that displays our commitment to Switzerland’s watchmaking capabilities, the TRI-03’s case and movement have been crafted there. Visible through an exhibition caseback, its Soprod C115 movement has also been certified by the famous Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres. It operates in the top 6% of all Swiss-made watches for accuracy, offering precision within -4/+6 seconds per day. The TRI-03 Power Reserve GMT COSC is a piece of engineering that’s as beautiful on the inside as it is out.
I bought this watch and think it is great for the following reasons:
- I didn't have a dress watch yet with a cream dial and this cream dial is spectacular
- the overall finishing is very good, almost makes me think (briefly) of my Grand Seiko
- I didn't have experience yet with Soprod movements so that was a plus
- packaging was OK
- at -70% it is probably my deal of the year if not the decade. A chronometer, with this movement, this dial and this level of finishing for less than $ 500 is normally not going to happen. In fairness, I would not have purchased it at its full retail price. I'm not necessarily saying the watch is not worth it, but there are more competitive alternatives, with significantly more brand equity.
The two things I do not like about the watch are extremely subjective: the brand name as its logo. Ironically, this has always been a big debate around Christopher Ward, but that name and logo on the dial never bothered me. In this case however, that beautiful dial, and then that name and logo... Aynway, just my personal opinion.
Very appealing and luxury , nice finishes
I really like my Tribus TRI-03. The dial color, the power and GMT registers, and the hands are all exceeding well done. Case finishing is nice. The watch strap seems a bit generic, but it's certainly comfortable, supple, and well made. However, it's very long as straps go, so it won't fit you if your wrist diameter is less than 3.75 inches. My only gripe, but I knew this going in, is that the case is 41mm in diameter. I would have preferred 38 to 40mm instead, given my 3.75-inch wrist. This watch oozes quality and class.
